Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) or Multimedia University Foundation was established in 2009 by Multimedia University Malaysia as a Non-Profit and Tax-Exempt Organization under the laws of Malaysia. The objective of the foundation is to pursue charitable and non-profit activities in the area of Education, Research, Culture and Community Work. The foundation receives funding from corporate organizations and individuals in the forms of Donation, Zakat, Waqaf and Endowment. The contributions are then channelled to benefit recipients from among Asnaf (Faqir, Miskin, Muallaf, Fi Sabilillah and Ibn Sabil) from amongst students or members of the community. Financial Assistances are given out in the forms of Scholarship for Local and International Students. Research Grants, Subsistence or Living Allowance, Medical and Disaster Relief, Program Sponsorships and General Charity. Since its establishment, the foundation has facilitated financial assistance totalling RM 185 Million benefiting more than 12,000 recipients. We believe this small effort can make a huge difference to the lives of those deserving recipients.
