Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi was appointed to the YUM board of trustees as the Chairman on the 14 October 2013 and he also serves as the Chancellor of Multimedia University. He holds a Barrister-at-Law from the Lincoln’s Inn, UK.
Among his many accolades, he was appointed as the 12th Chief Justice of Malaysia in October 2008. He was the first chairman for the Judicial Appointments Commission until his retirement as the Chief Justice in 2018. He is the Chief Justice of Dubai International Financial Centre Courts since November 2018.
He also sits on the board of Pertama Digital Berhad (formerly known as Sinotop Holdings Berhad), a listed company on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Arumugam A Packiri was appointed as one of the YUM trustees on the 27 February 2012. He is a Chartered Engineer of The Engineering Council , UK and also a member of the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
Regarded as a highly revered industrialist, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Arumugam A Packiri leads his business interests in many areas such as manufacturing, oil and gas, telecommunications, agriculture, education and many more.
His active involvements and contributions earned him, among others, as a member of Chancellors Court, University of Oxford, UK and also as the Development Advisory Board, Imperial College, Univ. London, UK.
Dato’ Seri Wong Siew Hai was appointed as a trustee of Yayasan Universiti Multitmedia (YUM) on 1 November 2018. He was also appointed as an Adjunct Professor at Multimedia University (MMU)
He is a Board member of the Penang Science Cluster and Penang Tech Centres, and he also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) for 12 years and was the Chair of its audit committee.
At present, Dato’ Seri Wong is involved in the electronics industry as the Chairman of MAEI (Malaysian American Electronics Industry) and Chairman of the E&E Productivity Nexus.
Dato’ Nicholas Kow Eng Chuan was recently appointed as one of the YUM Board of Trustees on 1 January 2021. He obtained his his Master of Law degree from T.C. Beirne Law School, University of Queensland, Australia.
He is also one of Multimedia University alumni, class of 2008 graduant, who graduated with Bachelor of Law (Hons).
He chambered at Messrs Ghazi & Lim in Penang, a prestigious law firm, which retained him as an Associate at the firm in the Dispute Resolution Department.
Dato’ Zainal Abidin Putih has been a member of YUM Board of Trustees since 1 November 2018.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), as well as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
His vast experience in accounting in many prominent industries which include banking, insurance, energy, transport and government agencies has placed him as an expert in this field.
